Simply head on over to www.canva.com to start creating your decision tree design. You don't need to download Canva, just create an account and log in.

Decision tree diagrams are used to clarify strategy and estimate possible outcomes during any decision-making process. Beginning with a single node, they branch into probable outcomes, calculating the risks, costs, and benefits of each decision.

From the Project Management menu, go to the Decision Tree tab. A collection of templates and the option to create a new decision tree will appear in the menu. To make a Decision Tree from scratch, click the large + sign.

With SmartDraw, anyone can quickly and easily create a tree diagram that looks like it was created by a professional. You and your team can work on the same tree diagram by saving it to a shared SmartDraw folder or by using your favorite file sharing apps like Dropbox^®, Google Drive^™, Box^® or OneDrive^®.

• The steps to create a decision tree diagram manually are: Take a large sheet of paper. The more options there are, and the more complex the decision, the larger the sheet of paper required will be. As a starting point for the decision tree, draw a small square around the center of the left side of the paper.

• Put your base decision under column A, and format cell with a bold border.
• Put potential actions in column B in two different cells, diagonal to your base decision.
• In column C, include potential costs or consequences of the actions you put in column B.
• Go to shape tool, and draw arrow from initial decision, through action and consequence.
